Women's College Fundraising Concert

1 min read

In 2017, Annabelle Traves, an award-winning concert violinist who was a Women’s College resident at the time (and who, since graduating, has toured with André Rieu, Bruce Springsteen and Michael Bublé, amongst others), came up with the idea of a fundraising concert, held at Women’s, in support of The Katrina Dawson Foundation. Since then, eight concerts have been held, raising over $30,000. We were incredibly honoured to have Women’s College alumnae, Annabelle and Emily Edmonds (a Mezzo Soprano who has performed most recently with Opera Australia) perform at the concert held last December.

The site gathers independent product breakdowns alongside revenue and affiliate notes, which makes it easy to compare different monetization paths. Skimming the revenue and teardown notes is a quick way to get a sense of what's covered.

If you’re searching for a news source that doesn’t tie you to a single beat, this homepage might be worth exploring. It promises coverage of business, fashion, health, and technology, which suggests a deliberate effort to serve diverse reader interests. The absence of a paywall-style push on the landing page also makes it easier to browse freely before deciding whether to return. To get a feel for their range, you could start with their latest insights page and see which sections resonate with your usual reading habits.

Exploring xuha.net reveals a small-scale Mastodon instance with a clear origin story. It's not trying to be everything to everyone; instead, it focuses on a curated group of users. For anyone interested in the diversity of fediverse communities, this is a noteworthy example of a personal, community-driven server.

For those who prioritize efficiency, the technical breakdown of this assistant is compelling. The review covers the performance metrics that matter, such as memory usage and startup time, while also addressing feature comparisons with similar tools. It is useful to see how the Go implementation affects the overall user experience. The performance and feature review provides a balanced look at what the assistant offers beyond the headline numbers.
