Updates from Scholars

We have had our first KDF Scholar graduate! Kate Field celebrated her graduation from her Bachelor of Architecture and Environments degree earlier this year, and is now working at BVN, an award-winning Australian architectural firm. Congratulations Kate!

In other KDF Scholar news, Angie Lu is on exchange in Finland for a year, after which she returns to graduate with her Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees. Angie plans on continuing her studies, commencing a Masters of Teaching (Secondary) next year at The University of Melbourne.

Our third inaugural KDF Scholar, Catherine Priestley, finishes her Commerce/Engineering degree this year as well.

The group of KDF scholars continue to excel in their lives at Women’s College, with the awarding of the following prizes at the Chancellor’s Dinner earlier this year:

  • Emily Graetz and Alex Berry were both invited to be part of the Dalyell Scholars Program for high achieving students at the University of Sydney.

  • Alex Berry was awarded the Dr Jane Williamson Prize.

  • Emily Graetz was awarded the Ellen Bundock Memorial Prize.

  • Angie Lu and Renee Ng were awarded Certificates for Academic Merit.

  • Lucy Schroeder was awarded the Della Elliott Prize, which is given to the Indigenous student at College with the highest academic average.

  • Catherine Priestley was awarded the Dr Mary Ellen Kent-Hughes MBE Prize.

  • Clara Rudd was awarded the Naomi Alexander Prize.

Congratulations to all the girls on such a fantastic effort!
