Smith Family Prizes

We proudly support the amazing work of the Smith Family through their Learning for Life Program. This year we gave high school prizes to ten deserving young women who despite some significant financial and life challenges are still dreaming big. Below, some of the recipients share what the prize means to them and how it will help their education. 

“The prize money would make a big difference in my education this year. The money would let me buy a laptop, which is important for doing schoolwork and using online resources. Right now, I share a laptop with my siblings, and since I’m the youngest, I am often the last priority.”

“Through the prize I will be able to pay for my tutoring and books/resources to further my education. I feel responsible for my own education therefore this prize will help a lot to lessen the stress on my parents.”

“This financial support would help cover other educational expenses, easing the burden on my family. By alleviating these financial concerns, I can devote more time and energy to my studies without the constant worry of how to access the materials I need. This prize would enable me to focus on excelling in my education, ensuring that I am fully prepared for the challenges of Year 11 and beyond.”
