Updates from other Katrina Dawson Foundation Scholars

Four KDF Scholars have now graduated and here is an update on what they are up to:

Angie Lu (KDF 2016–19) is undertaking a Master of Teaching (Secondary) degree at the University of Melbourne, with a focus on teaching Maths and English.

Catherine Priestley (KDF 2016–19) is now working at Macquarie Bank in Sydney with the Agriculture team – a nice blending of her family farming background with her Commerce studies.

Kate Field (KDF 2016–18) is further afield, currently living in London and continuing her career with renowned architect firm, BVN. She is planning on doing a postgraduate degree at some stage, so watch this space!

Renee Ng (KDF 2017–19) commenced a Graduate Certificate in Health Science through the University of Newcastle this year, with the ultimate aim of completing a Master in Public Health. And on top of that, while in isolation she also started two TAFE degrees – one in Commercial Cooking and one in Patisserie!

Finally, after a brief but positive time as a KDF Scholar, Emily Graetz has left Women’s College to live off-campus — we wish her the best of luck.

The group of KDF scholars continue to excel in their lives at Women’s College, with the following girls taking out prizes earlier this year:

  • Catherine Priestley was awarded the Matilda Susanna Curnow Prize.

  • Lucy Schroeder was awarded the Della Elliot Prize.

  • Alex Berry and Bella Harris both received certificates of academic merit.

Congratulations to all of the girls on such a fantastic effort!
